ekao Ltd designs software and keeps it running. Intranets are the centre of the work: a system made for one company, so more of the day can run without being chased by hand. Alongside that, we rebuild websites as one-off projects, and we run a small set of SaaS products of our own.
The on-site work includes POS systems, CCTV, and network upgrades. Residential call-outs cover computer repairs, hardware installation, and home networks, across the South East from Greater London to Portsmouth.
We work from Rye, in East Sussex, with clients across the United Kingdom. What we ship should be obvious to use, and it should still be there next year.

Intranets
An intranet is there to make the company run with as little wasted effort as possible. Where a process can be automatic, it should be, so that work comes off the people who currently carry it.
Each one is designed for that business. It contains the parts they will use, and it leaves out anything that would sit idle. The result is a small system that still covers the work.

We also redesign and rebuild websites, as a single project. The business signs in to an admin area made for that site, and looks after it there. The site does not run on WordPress, or on another ready-made content system.
A ready-made system arrives with a large set of features, and WordPress has lately been a regular target. A site we build has what that business needs, and it leaves the rest out.
